About Travertine

The primary purpose of the travertine stone is in building. It has been used in construction for a very long time. Temples, bath complexes and various monuments have been built from travertine. It is one of the several natural stones that are used for paving pools, patios, courtyards and garden paths. The stone is characterized by pitted holes and troughs in its surface which means that it has a concentric texture and porous surface.

Travertine tiles were firstly favored by the Romans in the first century. Since this natural stone is flecked with a spectrum of different shades, every tile is unique and perfect for outdoor decoration in every sense. Travertine itself is a crystallized form of calcium carbonate and when it is first quarried, it is characterized by surface pits and holes, which gives the stone the natural and nice-looking form.

You can expect Travertine to look outstanding, natural and dramatic.
